First off - Many thanks to Col. Wexler for the great job bringing back memories of my times in Tainan.

I was with Air America from 1962 to 1975, and flew C-47s and C-46s into Tainan for maintenance many times. About half the time I stayed in Tainan for the few days the maintenance took - the other times I took the 1930hrs train up to Taipei. Wonderful trip.
Other memories include -- the C-121's of College Eye; When they were in the Saigon area, they would circle the town and broadcast stateside TV shows. This was interesting, but getting up every minute or so to re-point the Rabbit Ear antenna got to be a drag. And a couple of times, in the DMZ area; their call that bandits heading south behind me did get my attention.
And - Air America and Air Asia were both owned by the same entity, as was CAT, the airline that flew a C-46 between Taipei and Tainan.
And I remember Sun-Moon lake. Great for a few days relaxation.
And if 10 guys want to take a trip back there, I will put together a package deal. Just tell me you are;
BOHAUSA - and I will cut a deal for you.
And a very BIG Thank You to Lloyd for holding all the Taiwan Vets together.
